Hi there!
Good to see you here!
My name is Victor Mitraud. I’m originally from Brazil, where my love for music began. I was fortunate to grow up in a very musical family, who got me into my formal training at a young age. I joined music initiation groups as a toddler, as well as children’s choirs until I could begin formal drum lessons at 6 – and I have never stopped learning since.
During my teenage years, I realised that one could not live on drums alone, so I began exploring harmonies through piano and guitar, as well as developing my singing skills. In 2011, I had the chance to spend a year in the U.S., where I studied and composed music extensively while also taking classical voice lessons, musical theatre and big band, as well as online courses on music production from Berklee College of Music. My learning journey eventually led me to study jazz arrangement and composition at IMEP College of Music in Paris, France, where I currently reside.
While keeping up with my formal education, I was privileged to play at my local church community from a young age. This provided invaluable experience, performing in front of audiences and alongside other musicians as early as 7 years old.
Making music in the context of my faith community has remained a priority of mine, eventually opening a door for me to oversee the music department at Hillsong Church in France, where I developed a wide array of skills and experiences – such as music directing for tours and concerts across the globe, as well as providing training across Europe in various topics such as music directing, different instruments, music theory, and music production.
Nowadays, I work as a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, singer, music director, songwriter, performer, teacher, and music producer based in the Paris area.
In 2024, along with my good friends and talented musicians André Rocha and Josh Aldrich, we launched a production studio in the heart of Paris — La Caverna Studios. Our vision is not only to develop our personal projects and artistic collaborations but also to support artists from various musical backgrounds, from songwriting and composition to arranging, recording, mixing, and even artistic coaching. Our goal is to provide artists with the tools they need to bring their music to life.
Alright, I’ll stop talking about myself now! I’ll leave you to the best part of the website — the music.
